Before
In 2023, Yossi Schwarz, a former multi-family investor and father of five, was inspired to move into vacation rental management after experiencing his own family’s first-hand traveling struggles; hotels lacked the space and flexibility a larger group requires. Two years later, with a pivot to mid-term rentals in multi-family buildings, Properties by Preston began to primarily targeting 30+ day stay renters (traveling nurses, students, insurance-displaced guests, and remote workers).
With growing demand came bulk building needs. Yossi quickly realized he needed to find the right tech stack. “Once we had our first bulk building deployment, we knew we needed an infrastructure that could repeat itself,” Yossi says. Since starting Properties with Preston from a laptop in his basement, Yossi now operates 700+ properties, and oversees a remote and local team from an office building in Lakewood, NJ.
